The Mossberg Patriot  is a classically styled bolt-action rifle that looks right on the gun rack and feels great when shouldered. The Patriot’s button-rifled fluted barrels are free-floated and have a recessed crown for maximum accuracy. The Patriot’s attractive spiral fluted bolts feature an ergonomic bolt angle and knurled bolt handle offering plenty of grip providing for quick follow-up shots and enhanced shooter comfort. The 22″ fluted barrel is matte blued and has a recessed crown to ensure accuracy and durability.

This Patriot model has a walnut finish stock and features a premium 3-9x40mm Vortex Crossfire II Riflescope with Dead-Hold BDC Reticle (MSRP $199). With long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses and resettable MOA turrets, there’s no compromising on the Vortex Crossfire II. Clear, tough, and bright, the hard anodized single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof/fogproof performance. The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle’s customized hashmark design helps eliminate guesswork on holdover and windage corrections. Good at varying ranges where estimating holdover is a concern.
